a little late here - bob made me an awesome and enormous carrot cake for my birthday. it fed all present and lasted us another week besides. even added an icing bass guitar... thanks bob!

i was given a ridgeback nemesis by one of our clients - and oh what a pleasure to ride... plus it saves me £80 a month on travel. bonus!

travs dad, pierre, was over recently from south africa for a visit. we invited them both round to try out some curry recipes:
lisa cooked up a storm - including judes coriander naan bread recipe - very nice jude kudos and many thanks.

a month ago today we learned of the passing of our dear friend iain. known to some as bambi, bambi boy or the just jumping whooping frontman leading the chow chow boys through their joyous cacophony. i always admired iain's creativity and ability to randomly write bizarre yet strangely heartfelt music on the spur of the moment.

having been fascinated by sock monkeys for some time, i finally managed to convince lisa to make me some. this is me with the handsome lad known as roland - named after the gunslinger.

so my old mobiles screen broke and the burk at the mobile store said it would cost £60 to fix. so i got a new mobile, a flash motorola krzr k1 and it was total rubbish. fixed the old one for a fiver in the end, but it was stolen so i claimed on insurance and got another nokia (thank goodness). these are a few pics from the beginning of the year till now.

after the tignes growth spurt i figured it was high time for the beard to go (...it was ridiculous). the girl giving me the haircut insisted we remove exactly half so she could compare before / after be alternately covering both sides of my face with her hands (with a beard, without a beard, with a beard... etc.). she then took a call for 15mins leaving me looking and feeling slightly silly. i used the time to capture the moment forever:
