half beard

after the tignes growth spurt i figured it was high time for the beard to go (...it was ridiculous). the girl giving me the haircut insisted we remove exactly half so she could compare before / after be alternately covering both sides of my face with her hands (with a beard, without a beard, with a beard... etc.). she then took a call for 15mins leaving me looking and feeling slightly silly. i used the time to capture the moment forever:

Oh my, that is truly amusing! Did the beard help to keep you warm in the harsh winter? I have to say that with large beard or with smallish beard, you are the image of Mike Crowther. I have always thought so since you were wee. xx

i was young and had the energy to save back then... it kept me very warm mum. it was amazing to see how quick it grew in the cold. hence the growth spurt comment.
